It seems like Google Pixel 4 is about to become the most aspiring upcoming smartphone Google has ever introduced. Rumors are starting to surface about their new sensation dubbed as Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. With stimulating new features like next-level facial recognition, different kind of air gestures, a display of 90Hz, has made everyone excited for the phone which will reveal itself on October 15.
Although some of the rumors were confirmed by the company a few days ahead of the phone’s launch, the rest of them are generated by leaks and hints from the experts in this field. Here is everything you need to know about pixel 4 from the rumors heard so far and what to expect from it.
The company’s Made by Google event is the place where Google launches its products and it was observed that Pixel devices were launched during this period. The Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 variants were launched during the first and second weeks of October.
Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will be revealed on October 15 and we can also expect other gadgets to be revealed on the same date. The final release date is yet to be announced but as we scrape through the previous year’s records, Pixel 3 made a public appearance on October 9. Later on October 18, the product went for sale.
Hence we may expect another week or more till the phone reaches us.
Last year the Pixel 3 & Pixel 3 XL were priced at $799 and $899. It may be expected that this new flagship model might be around the mentioned price or scale a bit higher.
In a random batch listings, it was found that a retailer has put price tags of $893 for Google Pixel 4 and $1228 for the XL model. As per Evan Blass, the new devices will cost around the same pricing as of the current Pixel 3 models.
Since Apple and Samsung have increased the prices for their current devices, we may expect that Google may do the same.
The Pixel devices have featured a rear dual-tone in their previous models. There was a small change in the ratio of both the sections but the design remained the same. Leaked images of the new device give a glance that there will be no such section. The rear panel of the phone also reveals that there will be no fingerprint sensor and that may be embedded in the display itself.
Google has confirmed that the rear cameras will be housed in a squared area situated on the top left-hand side of the rear panel. One of the signature features in a Pixel is the colored power button and it may be expected in this upcoming model.
Rumors claim that it may come in three different colors named Oh So Orange, Clearly White and Just Black.
As per reports, Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will have screen displays of 5.7-inches and 6.3-inches respectively. Both the screen claims to have a refresh rate of 90Hz that will offer a soothing experience. As far as resolution is concerned, the Pixel 4 will get an HD + fidelity and Pixel 4 XL will have a Quad HD+ panel.
The company confirms that it will have a host of sensors at the top bezel of the phone for face unlock and motion gestures. That implies this device will not feature a notch.
Hardware and battery of Google Pixel 4:
It is expected that the models will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 CPU with 6 gigabytes RAM. The slightly overclocked version of the CPU that is 855+ will not be part of the Pixel 4 model. It is sure that 6 GB RAM will not be able to match standard as that of a 12 GB RAM found on phones like OnePlus 7T Pro and ROG Phone II.
It was anticipated that Pixel 4 will have larger storage capacity but a claimed source states that there will be only two options that are 64 gigabytes and 128 gigabytes, for either version. There will be no expansion of storage via the micro SD memory cards. A cloud backup will be suitable.
Taking a dip into battery capacities, the Pixel 4 will boast a power of 2800mAh and Pixel 4 XL will have 3700mAH. Both phones will support fast charging technology.
The details have been given by the company itself which ensures that the model will have dual cameras comprising of a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 16-megapixel telephoto sensor. The camera system will be housed in a square-shaped housing that is situated on the top left corner of the phone.
A telephoto lens can enable optical zoom, but there have been reports of having an 8x digital zoom for this device. The primary camera has a larger aperture which allows more light to the sensor. It is also reported that the camera app has been modified with two new modes that will improve fast motion shooting and clear night skies.
The front camera will have an 8-megapixel camera for taking a selfie.
Google Pixel 4 Motion Sense:
This unique feature will enable the all-new radar chip sensor to interpret motion with unbelievable precision at a distance. Make gestures in the air like you are making an adjustment to the volume, and the device responds accurately in real-time. Back in July 2019, Google officially revealed this new technology to be implemented on Pixel 4.
With Motion Sense, you can snooze alarms, or skip songs, or silent phone calls just by making hand gestures. It will be used in preparing the phone for facial recognition before you pick up the device.
It is a groundbreaking invention and if Google can pull the thing more reliably, it will put the smartphone in an advanced realm. A much similar thing was tried by LG but results were not consistent and the phone was unable to process gestures even with the accurate movements by the user.
That was all about the rumors about Google’s new smartphone Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. While many of these are yet to be proved until its launch, but some of the Pixel 4 specifications have been confirmed by the Company itself.
